sent en masse to family and friends to keep them up to date with her
progress. Although they were usually circulated over my name, Sandra edited my
drafts before circulation. The editing was invariably so heavy that I have
always thought of them as having in reality been written by her rather than me;
there was usually little of my original left by the time she had finished with
it.
